Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Washington serves over 700,000 members and is hiring Medical Assistants to join its Northgate Medical Center team in Seattle. As an MA you will support nurses, physicians, and patients, collect vital signs, document visits, and reinforce care plans to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

Required: WA MA credentialing pathway, HS diploma or GED, BLS, and completion of an accredited MA program; preferred is 1 year MA experience. This is a full-time, day-shift role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent military experience with ability to obtain MA-I.
• Interim MA certificate or MA certificate WA required at hire; MA certificate WA within 12 months.
• BLS required at hire.
• If hired as MA-I, must obtain MA-C prior to expiration.
• Knowledge of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington competencies.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient health data; record vital signs and visit purpose.
• Document information in medical records and communicate with the care team.
• Provide patient and family instruction aligned with the care plan.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection control standards.
• Support orientation and onboarding of new staff and learners.
