Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support exam coordination and patient care under supervision. The role includes rooming patients, recording vitals, and assisting with screenings and medications according to AHN protocols.

You will maintain EHR documentation, prepare exam rooms, manage supplies, and may travel between physician offices. A high school diploma or medical assistant program and certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or completion of a medical assistant program.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA) required within 120 days if applicable.
• Preferred: Associate's degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision and prepare patients per workflow.
• Accurately record vitals, history, tobacco and medication screening.
• Assist with wellness screenings and lab tests per AHN protocols.
• Maintain and document in the EHR; prepare exam rooms and stock supplies.
• May travel between physician office locations as needed.
