Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the direction of a provider. You will prepare patients, obtain vital signs, document histories, and assist with examinations and back-office testing in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification within 120 days of hire if not already certified; must obtain within 120 days.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vital signs and document history and screening.
• Perform back-office testing and assist with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with training and coordinate follow-up with patients.
