Job summary

Concentra, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team in Hazelwood, MO. You will support clinicians, assist with examinations, administer rapid screenings, and handle front-office duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, vaccines, vital signs, and coordinating referrals, while upholding HIPAA guidelines and delivering exceptional patient experiences. This role requires clinical competency and compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Must meet credentials in the state of employment and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and arrange ancillary testing as requested.
• Perform rapid screenings (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Handle front/back office duties and accurate documentation.
• Maintain supplies, rooms, and equipment; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Provide excellent patient experience with welcoming, respectful care.
