Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification within 120 days of hire; accepted: NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA.
• Associate's degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vital signs and document history.
• Assist with exams, procedures, and back-office testing.
• Document accurately in the EHR and manage inventory and supplies.
• May serve as a scribe after additional training.
• Provide follow-up with patients as directed and communicate results timely.
