Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care in a busy outpatient setting. You will room patients, take vital signs, prepare for procedures and assist clinicians with exams and tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with MA training or 1 year medical assisting experience
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Ability to work in a collaborative healthcare team

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, BP, pulse, respiration)
• Complete patient interview and history
• Prepare patients for exams, tests and treatments; assist as ordered
• Assist in examinations and carry out treatments and tests
• Set up equipment and prepare treatment rooms
• Collect samples and perform routine lab tests
