Oak Street Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient flow, vital signs, and care coordination in a dynamic clinical setting. You will assist with vaccines, point-of-care tests, EMR documentation, and care team meetings, ensuring high-quality patient experiences.

The role requires MA certification or equivalent, 2+ years of MA experience, CPR/BLS, and strong computer skills. Bilingual capabilities may be valued depending on clinic demographics.

Qualifications

• State or national certification (as required by state), or graduation from an accredited medical assistant course
• 2 years experience as a medical assistant
• CPR or BLS Certification
• Electronic Medical Record experience
• Computer skills: Gmail, MS Word or Google Docs, Excel or Google Sheets
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center's demographics
• US work authorization
• Strongly preferred: minimum of three years in MA role
• Preferred: Phlebotomy Technician Certification

Responsabilités

• Ensure an efficient patient flow; room patients in a timely manner, complete vital signs, complete required screenings and complete medication reviews
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (Lab results, faxing records to specialists, etc.)
• May administer vaccinations and perform point of care tests (A1C, spirometry, EKGs, blood draws) as allowed
• Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations
• Process orders for durable medical equipment
• Request medical records from external providers as required by the provider
• Conduct routine quality control checks including infection control measures and equipment checks
• Other duties as assigned
