Job summary

CareSpot Urgent Care in Orange Park, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams and procedures, including triage, vitals, blood draws, and immunizations. You will also assist with room setup, patient flow, and administrative tasks such as insurance verification and payments.

Ideal candidates hold an MA/EMT/Paramedic credential or a CMA/RMA designation, or have 6 months of MA experience, CNA with phlebotomy, or phlebotomy certification with experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or relevant program or active RMA/CMA designation.
• 6 months MA-related experience or CNA with phlebotomy experience or phlebotomy certs.
• Prior healthcare setting experience (ED/urgent care) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information in charts.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab work completion.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Set up procedures and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Check-in/out patients, verify insurance, and collect payments.
