Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent; AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit; prepare patient for physical exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and timel y.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per procedure.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
• Conduct lab tests and maintain equipment.
• Respond to lab messages and callbacks.
• Perform drug screening and document immunizations.
• Arrange physician referrals and pre-certifications as needed.
• Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments; maintain supplies.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
