Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Current American Heart Association BLS may be required.
• Experience in patient care settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and perform vital signs, medication reconciliation, history and screenings.
• Assist providers with procedures and perform lab duties including venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Administer medications and vaccines following safety guidelines.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and ensure equipment is in good working order.
