Job summary

OSUP Community Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care in our Ohio clinics. You will assist with examinations, prepare patients, and perform routine lab tests while coordinating communication with providers and patients.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus one of: Medical Assistant Program diploma, or 1 year of medical assisting experience, or Military Medic training, or EMT-P training, or equivalent combination.

  • Complete patient interview and history.

Responsibilities

Purpose:

The Medical Assistantrolesassistwith direct patient care, andperformsspecialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated byestablishedclinical protocol.Assistmedical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.

    • Room patients, measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
    • Complete patient interview and history.
    • Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assists with procedures as ordered by physician.
    • May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
    • Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
    • Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
    • Manage and organize the medical office's inbox, ensuring timely and accurate communication with patients, healthcare providers and other stakeholders.
    • Oversee the reception of incoming patient information and gather necessary data for healthcare providers.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent along with at least one of the following:

A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program OR Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience OR Military Medic training OR EMT-P (Paramedic) training OR Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education

Preferences:

Medical Assistant Certification

Pay Range

USD $18.20 - USD $29.33 /Hr.
