Job summary

Penn Medicine Radnor seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and the practice manager. The MA will prepare patients, collect vital signs, document in EMR, and coordinate care with specialists and labs. The role involves phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen handling, and assisting with minor procedures.

Training, a tuition benefit, paid time off, and comprehensive benefits are offered. BLS/CPR certification is required, MA program completion or equivalent experience, and MA certification

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or 2+ years Experience) may be considered in lieu of MA program.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• MA certification within 90 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Promptly rooms patients and prepares chart for visit in EMR.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
• Conducts EKGs and other screening tests per MD orders.
• Assists with minor surgical procedures and maintains sterile field.
• Responds to emergencies and ensures infection control practices.
• Provides telephonic patient care and care coordination as directed by provider.
