Job summary

Penn Medicine is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the practice manager in delivering high-quality care. You will perform patient preparation, charting in EMR, and assist with phlebotomy, EKGs and specimen handling as part of routine clinical tasks.

Expect clerical duties, care coordination calls, and adherence to infection control policies. PGA/MAPs department offers growth and tuition support along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• MA Certification must be obtained within the specified time frame in PA/NJ.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients promptly and prepares them for visits using EMR.
• Performs specimen collection, EKGs, and basic screening tests as ordered.
• Handles clerical tasks, documentation, and patient communication.
