Job summary

TexomaCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient examinations and care delivery in Denison, TX. You will interview patients, record vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR under physician direction.

You’ll prepare exam rooms and may assist at the front desk as needed. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, MA certificate or 1 year experience, and current BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or 1 year of MA experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology required
• Experience with patient check-in/out according to clinic protocol
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Must be courteous and professional in all interactions
• Familiarity with office equipment and processes

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician direction
• Interview patients and measure vital signs
• Perform venipuncture and other procedures as directed
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations
• Assist in covering front desk as needed
