Job summary

Marathon Health in the United States is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience, blending front desk duties with clinical tasks.

You will take vitals, assist with procedures, manage specimens, and help coordinate referrals while supporting a patient-centered, outcomes-driven model across our onsite and nearsite centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration is strongly preferred or required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Reviews medical information and updates patient data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Coordinate care with the team to address gaps in care and develop patient plans.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Record data in medical records per guidelines and process results for patients.
• Engage with patients to drive adherence and outreach for eligible groups.
