Job summary

Marathon Health in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care, manage the patient experience, and support the care team in a busy primary care setting.

Duties include taking vitals, performing blood draws, injections, front desk tasks, chart updates, and coordinating tests. Qualifications include 1 year MA experience, graduation from a MA program, CPR/BLS, and MA certification/registration

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is preferred/required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, record requests, and coordinating referrals.
• Records data in the medical record and communicates results to patients.

Education
