Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works within scope of training and capabilities.
• Follows clinic workflows to promote quality and efficiency.
• Performs pre-visit planning by reviewing patient records and updating EMR.
• Prepares patients for examinations and records vital signs, pain scores, and histories in EMR.
• Supports patient flow and follows up on health maintenance and referrals.
• Assists with examinations and procedures using aseptic technique and protocol.
• Administers vaccines and places PPDs per protocols.
• Ensures specimens are labeled and sent to the lab after visits.
