Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the care team in delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional service. You will document, take vitals, perform routine procedures, administer vaccines/Injections, and educate patients on care within scope.

Qualifications

• Education and certifications required for Medical Assistant role.
• English communication proficiency required.
• Must have BLS certification and MA credential.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care activities: histories, vitals, chart prep, and documentation.
• Perform EKGs, rapid strep, urine dip tests, spirometry, nebulizers.
• Administer medications and injections per protocols.
• Educate patients on conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
• Schedule referrals, approvals, and appointments; monitor insurance pre-auths.
• Review quality reports and help improve patient outcomes.
