Brown University Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an ambulatory setting. You will prepare patients, assist providers, perform point-of-care testing, and manage workflows to ensure efficient visits in Providence, RI.

Responsibilities include patient check-in, vital signs, medication reconciliation, education, and coordination of referrals. Prior MA experience and a valid certification are preferred; scheduling is three 12-hour shifts weekly.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Bachelor's degree not required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Three years of Medical Assistant experience or equivalent in a related clinical role.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients, check in, schedule appointments, and obtain referrals and authorizations.
• Assist with examinations, take vital signs, record health histories, and document in EMR.
• Perform point-of-care testing and vaccinations per protocols.
• Support billing by collecting co-pays and processing payments at time of service.
• Maintain patient privacy, participate in quality and infection-control standards.
