Patient First is seeking a Medical Assistant/clinic support staff member in New Jersey to assist physicians and nurses, locate patients, obtain vitals, triage, and prepare patients for examinations. You will use an EMR system, order labs and supplies, and support the care team with lab duties and phlebotomy.

The role requires high school graduate status, at least 1 year of clinical experience preferred, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work at any center as needed.

Qualificações

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum typing experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (4–7 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• CPR classes and code drills when scheduled.
• Prioritize and multitask.
• Willingness to work at any center during staffing changes.

Responsabilidades

• Locate patients and obtain accurate vital signs.
• Triage patients and assess medical condition for physicians and nurses.
• Use the electronic medical record system.
• Order labs, x‑ray, and supplies as directed.
• Communicate patient needs and questions to nurses and physicians.
• Assist with lab duties and phlebotomy.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock treatment areas.
• Attend staff meetings and operate medical and office equipment as trained.
