Job summary

Patient First in New Jersey is seeking staff to assist with patient intake, vital signs, triage, and preparation for Physician and Nurse exams. You will use the EMR system, order labs and supplies, and coordinate with nursing teams to deliver efficient care.

Responsibilities include handling instruments, restocking rooms, and maintaining a clean, compliant treatment area. This role requires reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients, obtain vitals, triage, and prepare for exams by physicians and nurses.
• Understand and use the electronic medical record system.
• Order labs, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Notify nurse/physician when patient is ready for exam and relay questions.
• Assist nurses and physicians with patient care and treatments.
• Operate, use, and maintain medical and office equipment as trained.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas and restock supplies.
