Job summary

Patient First is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant/Clinical Support role to locate patients, obtain vital signs, triage, and prepare patients for exams under Physician and Nurse guidance. Responsibilities include using the EMR system, ordering labs and supplies, and assisting with various patient care tasks.

The role requires at least 1 year of clinical experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, lifting up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work across centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing needs.
• CPR classes and code drills should be attended.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients and obtain vital signs; triage and prepare for exams or treatment.
• Use electronic medical record system accurately.
• Order labs, x-ray, and supplies as directed.
• Notify nurses/physicians when ready for exam and relay patient questions.
• Assist nurses and physicians with patient care and treatment.
