Job summary

Patient First in York, PA seeks a clinic support professional to assist with patient triage, vital signs, and preparing patients for exams. You will work with Physicians and Nurses, use the EMR system, and help with ordering labs, x-rays, and supplies.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, restocking rooms, and ensuring timely communication with nurses and providers. Candidates should have at least one year of clinical experience and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work.

Responsibilities

• Locating patients and triaging, obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
• Understanding and using the electronic medical record system.
• Ordering lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Notifying the Nurse/Physician when patient is ready for exam and communicating needs.
• Assisting Nurses and Physicians with treatment and care.
• Handling requests with respect and in a timely manner.
• Performing lab duties as assigned.
• Sterilizing and setting up instruments.
• Receiving and storing supplies and restocking rooms.
• Reporting to the Charge Nurse before leaving the shift.
• Maintaining cleanliness and OSHA guidelines in the treatment area.
• Attending staff meetings and operating equipment as trained.
• Completing assigned checklists and policy tasks.
