Job summary

The role requires a MA training program completion, active MA certification, and BLS. Schedule is M-F 7:30am-4:00pm with rotating Saturdays; Banner Health supports growth and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills with medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam and record vital signs and chief complaint.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, authorizations and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate billing information.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and disinfect equipment per guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks.
• Communicate test results to patients and support care teams.
