Job summary

UrgenCare LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will assist healthcare providers, prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and help with routine lab work and patient documentation.

Responsibilities include administering medications under supervision, maintaining OSHA-compliant areas, and supporting busy clinical operations. Training for X-Ray and EKG will be provided, with opportunities to engage in community clinic events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and six months of related medical experience.
• Must obtain and maintain BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures.
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Assist Providers with tasks during patient visits.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens as instructed.
• Administer medications and injections under supervision.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
• Maintain nursing stations and examination areas per OSHA standards.
• Answer and screen phone calls.
• Exhibit courtesy and poise when interacting with patients and staff.
• Perform X-Ray and EKG (training provided).
• Assist Occupational Medicine staff with urine specimens as needed.
• Performs other related duties assigned by management.
