Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will coordinate with providers, prepare exam rooms, record vitals, assist with procedures, and ensure accurate EHR documentation.

Responsibilities include medication screening, patient history updates, and following AHN protocols. CPR certification and background clearances are required; 30/120 day certification timelines apply; travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 1 year as Medical Assistant or 1 year in direct patient care.
• CPR certification required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Certification training within 30 days of hire and certification within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vitals and history; document screening.
• Perform back office testing per AHN protocols.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with training.
• Document in the EHR accurately.
• May float between physician office locations.
