• MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma or 5 months of direct patient care experience in clinical/research settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical assisting duties (vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs) and keeps areas clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
• Performs point-of-care testing and teaches patients test procedures.
• Monitors and maintains medical equipment, supplies, and expirations.
• Reviews medication lists in the electronic medical record and assists with schedules under supervision.
• Uses the EMR to queue prescriptions and document tasks for billing.
• Prepares schedules, charts, and clinical documents as required.
• Manages patient flow and communications to ensure timely service delivery.
