Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Grayslake Multi Specialty Clinic. This full-time position (36 hours/week) supports physicians, nurses, and staff by improving patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with various procedures and related administrative tasks.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, BLS certification, and certification eligibility within six months (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, NRCMA).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification is required or must be obtained within six months of employment.
• American Heart Association BLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow by escorting patients, obtaining vitals, documenting visit reasons, and preparing exam rooms.
• Assist practitioners with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived tests as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and inventory, and support opening/closing procedures.
