Palo Alto Medical Foundation CAD part of Sutter Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with patient care and administrative tasks. You will help ensure smooth patient flow, prepare patients for exams, perform injections, and maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.

The role requires a completed Medical Assistant program, externship, and BLS certification. You will work days, full-time, Monday to Friday, 32 hours weekly, in a non-exempt position.

Qualificações

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program; diploma within 90 days.
• Completion of Medical Assistant externship (160 hours).
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required.
• 1 year of recent relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of medical procedures, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and terminology.
• Able to take vital signs, prep patients for exams and administer injections.
• Able to interpret data and instructions in various formats.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Good time management and organizational skills; follow SOPs and scientific methods.
• Proficient with MS Office and common EHR systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical and clerical support to providers and patient care teams.
• Assist in implementing medical plans of care and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Perform routine medical assisting duties: vital signs, exam prep, injections.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare staff.
• Manage tasks within standardized policies to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with peers and healthcare providers to meet departmental objectives.
