Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 0–1 year related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate web-based applications.
• MA, EMT, CNA, or LNA certificate or diploma; or at least 5 months direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with check-in and scheduling.
• Perform medical assisting duties: vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy; assist during procedures.
• Review medication lists in the EMR for licensed practitioners; handle schedule medications under supervision.
• Perform point-of-care testing and provide patient instructions for tests.
• Enter and queue orders in the EMR; document tasks for billing.
