Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care, handling administrative duties and direct patient support onsite in Beaumont, TX. You will report to the Supervisor, Center Administration and participate in pre-visit planning, charting, and care coordination.

The role requires an active CMA/RMA, MA training, or equivalent plus 1+ year MA experience, with phlebotomy and CPR. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, and TB screening is required.

Qualifications

• Active CMA or RMA certification from recognized bodies.
• Completed MA program or 5+ years experience with provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years MA experience.
• Phlebotomy and vaccination administration experience.
• CPR certification required.
• TB screening will be conducted for this patient-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type.
• Obtain and record medical history and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist providers with procedures.
• Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer medication under provider direction.
• Document accurately in EHR/EMR, including HEDIS/Stars measures.
