Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care, handling administrative tasks and direct patient support in a clinical setting. You will work onsite under the Center Administration and support diverse care activities including pre-visit planning and documentation in EHR/EMR systems.

The role requires MA certification (CMA/RMA), 1+ year experience, CPR, phlebotomy, and the ability to work bilingual in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Active CMA or RMA certification from recognized organizations (AAH, AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA).
• Completion of an MA school/training program or a CMA/RMA with 5+ years of experience and provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of MA experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medication/vaccine administration experience.
• CPR certification.
• TB screening will be required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type.
• Obtain and record medical history and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist providers with medical procedures and treatments.
• Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer medication under provider direction.
• Ensure accurate documentation in EHR/EMR systems, including documentation of HEDIS and Stars quality measures.
