Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support individuals in treatment for substance use disorders across Western Massachusetts. The role emphasizes direct care, vital signs, intake assistance, and maintaining accurate records in a compassionate setting.

Your bilingual English/Spanish skills will help engage diverse patients, and a High School diploma with a Certified Medical Assistant course is required.

What You’ll Do

As a Certified Medical Assistant at BHN you will provide direct care and daily support to individuals in treatment for substance use disorders.

• Take vital signs
• Assist with intake assessments and medical histories
• Monitor patients for withdrawal symptoms or changes in condition
• Update medical records and patient charts
• Encourage a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment

Who You Are

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course or equivalent (required).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Prior experience in a hospital, behavioral health, or recovery setting (preferred).

Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
