Job summary

Cedar Point Health in Ridgway and surrounding clinics is seeking a motivated candidate to join our outgoing, patient‑focused team. We offer the CPH Paid Education Program: tuition‑paid MA certification in partnership with TCR, with an 18‑week RMA training while you work and earn internship credits.

You will support providers with phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, triage walk‑ins, handle specimens, maintain lab and PHI confidentiality, and assist with medications and immunizations as trained.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist in a variety of common office procedures.
• Ability to maintain records and record test results.
• Ability to react calmly in emergency situations with good judgment.
• Excellent communication skills with patients in person and by phone.

Responsibilities

• Checking in patients and completing charting before sending to provider.
• Carrying out procedures such as Phlebotomy, EKG, and Spirometry under supervision.
• Assisting Providers in triaging walk-in patients.
• Assisting Providers on procedures as appropriate.
• Ordering medical supplies and stocking exam rooms.
• Relaying provider messages clearly to patients by telephone.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction (training provided).
• Sterilizing equipment and maintaining lab specimens for shipment.
• Maintaining PHI confidentiality and completing HIPAA training.
• Handling prescription refills after training.
• Regular cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment.
