Job summary

CalvertHealth in Maryland is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Office Assistant to support clinicians in ambulatory care and to handle a mix of clinical and administrative duties. The role may travel between CHMG locations as needed, ensuring seamless patient care. Required: high school diploma, CPR within 30 days, and phlebotomy/POCT experience.

CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA preferred; EMR familiarity; 1–2 years medical office and admin support. Strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associates degree or higher preferred.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire; CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA/CCMA preferred; EMT acceptable; GNA/CNA considered.
• Phlebotomy and point-of-care testing experience required; EMR familiarity.
• 1-2 years of medical office/direct patient contact and 1-2 years administrative support in healthcare.

• Assist clinicians with examinations and treatments under provider supervision.
• Support OA/MA duties and administrative tasks across ambulatory sites.
• Provide exceptional customer service in the ambulatory setting.
