This position would be in Zeeland on Mondays and Grand Rapids on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Provides clinical support to health care professionals

Provides clinical support to health care professionals to ensure the delivery of quality health care services.

Practice Overview

We provide occupational health services on-site at various employers within the greater Grand Rapids area. This role requires travel. Employees tested may need follow-up in our OHS clinic. Coordinating a warm hand-off for proper care is vital. The role is clinical, with administrative duties like scheduling and reporting results. Services include, but are not limited to, audio testing, drug screening, fit testing, vaccinations, and blood draws.

Essential Functions

1. Facilitates efficient patient flow, prepares patients, and provides services and education as determined by providers.
2. Performs administrative duties, maintains and monitors electronic health records.
3. Maintains and cleans environment, equipment, and reports malfunctions.
4. Greets and communicates with patients and others respectfully, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
5. Collects, monitors, and reports patient data, documents care, and charges for services.
6. Monitors processes for quality, cost, and efficiency; engages in improvement activities.
7. Continuously studies professional practices, completes required training, and maintains competence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation required.
• 1 year of relevant healthcare experience preferred.

• Must obtain one of the following within 120 days: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA certification.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 120 days.
