New York Health (NYH) in Patchogue, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant for our OBGYN team. You will manage patient intakes, record vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, collect lab specimens, and assist physicians during visits.

The role requires a Medical Assistant Certificate and a high school diploma, with EMR proficiency preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, have reliable transportation to NYH locations, and maintain standard precautions and PPE.

Responsabilidades

• Assist providers and support staff in data entry.

• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Patchogue, & Smithtown, NY

Hours/Days

5 8.5 hour days, Mon-Fri between 7:30am-8pm

In This Role, You Will

• Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording
• Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests
• Record patients' vital signs
• Prepare patients for examinations
• Sterilize medical equipment and instruments
• Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process
• Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing
• Other duties as assigned

We Require

• A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma
• Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred)
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching
• Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs
