Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the OBGYN department in Michigan. The role supports providers and nursing leadership with clinical and administrative tasks, enhancing patient flow and care quality.

Candidates should meet MA program externship requirements or have equivalent clinical MA experience; BLS-C is required by orientation. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with clinical externship (160 hours) required.
• Externship or 1 year MA clinical experience in past 5 years acceptable in lieu of externship.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred.
• LPN/EMT or military medical background acceptable as alternative.
• BLS-C certification required by orientation end.

• Measure and record vital signs.

Job Title

OBGYN

Work Schedule

Monday–Friday:8-hour shifts, with scheduled hours falling between6:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Saturday Clinics:8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. on the1st and 3rd Saturdaysof each month.

Saturday coverage will berotated among staff members.

Employees should have flexibility to work varying start and end times within the Monday–Friday operating hours.

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).OR

Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.OR

Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).OR

Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.OR

Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
