Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the OB/GYN department at our Bloomfield Township location. You will support providers, perform administrative and clinical tasks, and help ensure a smooth patient experience in a busy clinic.

The role requires MA certification or completion of an accredited program, with options for externship and diverse clinical experience. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available and shifts span 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, five days per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with externship (160-hour minimum) or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.
• Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Licensed Paramedic/EMT with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
• Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
• Preferred: EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.

Additional Requirements:

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum).OR

Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.OR
