Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Dearborn, MI seeks a Medical Assistant for the OBGYN department. The role supports providers and nursing leadership with clinical and administrative tasks, delivering compassionate patient care in a busy practice.

Requirements include a MA program graduate with externship (or equivalent recent clinical experience) and current BLS. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered for this full-time position. Shift includes some Saturdays.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).OR

Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.OR

Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).OR

Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.OR

Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.

• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
