Job summary

Madison Medical in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in the OBGYN clinic across two Milwaukee locations. The role handles rooming, vitals, injections, and point-of-care testing, following clinic standards. Reports to the Clinic Supervisor/Assistant Director of Clinic Operations.

You will manage patient flow, document in EHR, assist with calls and messages, prepare exam rooms, and administer routine meds per MD protocols. Monday–Friday hours, no weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program, or military equivalent, or demonstrated skills in capacity for at least one year.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong data entry skills and ability to work with computer applications.
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong and comfortable communicating with patients, peers, and physicians.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and with co-workers in a team.
  • Drive to provide excellent patient service and care in an environment with significant and frequent opportunities to effectively resolve problems and conflict situations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures excellent and timely care for patients – manages phone calls and messages efficiently, checks EHR and email regularly.
  • Organizes and prepares exam rooms and maintains a clean, safe, and well stocked environment.
  • Administers routine medications, including: immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins and topical agents.
  • Provides basic patient education.
  • Refills medications or obtains prior authorizations according to MD protocols or as directed by physician
  • Schedules appointments as needed.

Medical Assistant

Job Summary: A Medical Assistant provides quality patient care by assisting the physician with clinic specific tasks, including rooming, vitals, injections, and point of care testing and treatment.
