Endeavor Health's Elmhurst-OBGYN clinic is hiring a Medical Assistant. The role involves preparing patients for exams, handling specimens and basic lab duties, and assisting physicians with injections and routine testing. It supports a busy practice across several sites with travel required.

The position requires CMA/RMA/CCMA certification and a current CPR BLS credential. A high school diploma is mandatory, with 6 months of clinical experience preferred and flexible hours to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA) with current certification is REQUIRED/PRIORITY.
• If not certified, at least one year of clinical experience is PREFERRED.
• Current CPR BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association is REQUIRED.

Responsabilités

• Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care, prepares patients for examination, obtains specimens, conducts routine tests, and records results. May perform phlebotomy and administer medications under supervision. Provides clerical support for a busy OB/GYN clinic.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Sign on bonus: $1000
• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: 1200 S York Rd, Elmhurst
• Full Time 36 hours per week
• Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM (includes working 1-2 evenings/week). Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Saturday 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM (this includes working 1- 2 Saturdays/month)
• Required Travel: Yes ( Addison, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Lombard)
• This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

• Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports a very busy OBGYN office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Current CPR BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association - REQUIRED
