Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support a busy OBGYN practice in Elmhurst. You will prepare patients for exams, collect specimens, conduct routine labs, and assist with injections under physician supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma, CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, current CPR/BLS, and at least 6 months of clinical experience. Travel to nearby sites is involved and flexibility in hours is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistants (CMA/RMA/CCMA) with current registration/certification required.
• 6 months of clinical experience required; 1 year preferred if not certified.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physical examinations and collect specimens.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and record results; may perform phlebotomy.
• Administer selected medications/injections under physician supervision.
• Perform clerical duties related to clinic operations.

Hourly Pay Range:$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:Sign on bonus: $1000Position: Medical AssistantLocation: 1200 S York Rd, ElmhurstFull Time 36 hours per weekHours: Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM (includes working 1-2 evenings/week). Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Saturday 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM (this includes working 1- 2 Saturdays/month)Required Travel: Yes ( Addison, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Lombard) This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needsWhat you will do:Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations.
