Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for its Oak Park location. This full-time role (36 hours/week) supports a busy OB/GYN clinic with multiple providers and staff, performing clinical tasks, specimen collection, routine lab tests, and injections under physician supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; CPR certification; CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred with at least six months to one year of clinical experience. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred or registration with a certifying body - PREFERRED
• If not certified, candidates should have at least one year of clinical experience - PREFERRED
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association - REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and obtain specimens.
• Conduct routine lab tests and record results; perform phlebotomy when needed.
• Administer selected medications/injections under physician supervision.
• Perform clerical duties to support busy clinic operations.
• Support an OBGYN office with multiple providers and staff.

Education

High school diploma or GED

One year clinical experience if not certified

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Sign on bonus: $1000
• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: 932 Lake Street, Oak Park
• Full Time 36 hours per week
• Hours: varies Mon - Fri 7:30a-6p and rotating Sat am. Week day hours vary but typically one early morning (7:30am) and one late (till 6pm)
• Required Travel: Yes Elmhurst
• This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports a very busy OBGYN office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association - REQUIRED
