Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time 36-hour week. The schedule runs Mon-Thu with occasional evenings and Saturdays; travel to Addison, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Lombard is required.

Under supervision, you will prepare patients for exams, obtain specimens, perform routine labs and possibly phlebotomy, administer medications, and handle clerical duties in a busy OB/GYN clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED.
• Certification or registration as CMA/RMA/CCMA is required with current credentialing.
• Candidates without certification should have at least 1 year of clinical experience.
• Current CPR BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and obtain specimens.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and record results; perform phlebotomy when needed.
• Administer selected medications/injections under physician supervision.
• Assist with clerical duties in a busy OB/GYN clinic.

Position Information

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Location: 1200 S York Rd, Elmhurst. Position: Medical Assistant. Full Time, 36 hours per week. Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM (includes working 1-2 evenings/week). Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Saturday 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM (this includes working 1- 2 Saturdays/month). Required Travel: Yes (Addison, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Lombard). This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs.

What you will do

Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports a very busy OBGYN office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff.

What you will need

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience.
• PREFERRED Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.
• PREFERRED Current CPR BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association - REQUIRED
