Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy OB-GYN clinic in Oak Park. You will prepare patients for exams, collect specimens, assist physicians, and perform routine lab tests as part of a dynamic clinical team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, with CPR preferred. This is a full-time position with rotating hours and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification required with current certification/registration through AAMA/ARMA/NHA or equivalent.
• Candidates without certification should have at least 1 year of clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification from American Heart Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and obtain specimens.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and record results; may perform phlebotomy.
• Under supervision, administer selected medications/injections.
• Perform clerical duties and support a busy OB-GYN clinic.

Job Summary

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights: Sign on bonus: $1000 Position: Medical Assistant Location: 932 Lake Street, Oak Park Full Time 36 hours per week Hours: varies Mon - Fri 7:30a-6p and rotating Sat am. Week day hours vary but typically one early morning (7:30am) and one late (till 6pm) Required Travel: Yes Elmhurst This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs.

What you will do

Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports a very busy OBGYN office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff.

What you will need

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience.
• PREFERRED Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.
• PREFERRED Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
