Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant - OB/GYN for our North Indianapolis site. This part-time role supports ambulatory care, assisting providers with patient visits, procedures, and lab work at the Castleton area.

The ideal candidate will have MA certification within 6 months, a certificate or diploma in medical assisting, and strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with EPIC EMR and a positive patient-focused attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program.
• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies.
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload.
• Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection.
• Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.


• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire
