Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix, the University Medicine Women’s Institute, is seeking an Medical Assistant in the OB/GYN team. You will take vitals, assist with exams, coordinates referrals, and support documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved Medical Assisting program.
• Uncertified Medical Assistant may be hired and has up to 12 months to obtain certification with Banner paying for study materials.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Experience with office procedures and scheduling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, patient intakes and assist with exams and procedures.
• Support with scheduling, referrals, and medical records documentation.
• Assist with basic clerical tasks and ensure clean, organized exam rooms.
• Assist with phlebotomy, EKGs, and medication administration as directed.
