Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians in the Northern Kentucky region seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and mid-level providers.

You will escort patients, take vital signs, document history, and prepare patients for exams while ensuring HIPAA, OSHA and CLIA compliance and accurate charting. This role also involves patient instruction, assisting with examinations, basic lab tasks, medication administration as directed, and contributing to the revenue cycle through proper documentation and forms.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of MA program with hands-on externship.
• Completion of SEP Internship or EMT certification.
• Health or Biological Sciences degree with hands-on clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and measure vital signs.
• Document patient history and maintain accurate charts.
• Assist providers during examinations and perform nursing procedures.
• Prepare patient for exams and provide post-exam instructions.
• Collect specimens, perform basic tests, and administer medications as directed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA and revenue-cycle forms.
