Job summary

St. Elizabeth is seeking a Medical Assistant for Edgewood Primary Care. The assistant will support physicians and mid-level providers, taking vitals, preparing patients, and ensuring accurate charting and patient education.

The role requires completion of an MA program or equivalent experience, with strong clinical and documentation skills, and a commitment to patient care in a fast-paced primary care setting in Edgewood, KY.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year MA/CNA/PCA/STNA or SEH Clinical Care Tech experience, or MA program completion.
• Preferred credentials: CCMA, CMA, RMA, ARMA or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs in the chart.
• Interviews patients and records history and concerns for the exam.
• Prepare the patient for the exam and assist during the provider’s examination.
• Collect specimens, perform basic lab tests, and administer medications as directed.
• Maintain chart accuracy and support revenue-cycle forms and approvals.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA.
